Milestone really finds it important for families to work with them hand in hand in the growth and development of students like me. Here are some ways that help them work together: Parent Council - they are the volunteer parent representatives per class. They help my teachers plan our special activities like fieldtrips and parties to make it fun! Individual Communication notebook – My teachers can immediately contact my family through a text or call, but this notebook is another way my teachers can reach them. This is where they can write to my parents about my everyday progress in school. My teachers also post all my activities from Monday to Friday in this notebook so my parents would always know what I do in school. This way, it is easier for them to give me follow-up activities at home. This is also where moms and dads can learn about our announcements and reminders for special events. My teachers say that parents can also write to them in this notebook about any concern or information they need to let my teachers know about me. Parent Teacher Conference – My teachers say they like to meet my parents every semester to talk about my progress and development. They discuss important issues about me and give out a narrative report describing their evaluation of my schooling. Newsletter- every quarter, my teachers give out a newsletter where parents can read and find out all about our special experiences in school. This is also where teachers publish some of our artworks and pictures!
