I knew early on that I wasn’t going to be a homeschooling mom. I loved my kids to bits and being an already full-time, stay at home mom, I would cook their meals, bring them to and from school, play with them, dress them, discipline them, etc etc. But I knew I just didn’t have the grace and the patience to take on that role as teacher. So my husband and I sought out to find the best place to enter our eldest, Nala. We felt so blessed because we didn’t have to look very far for a couple of streets away there was Milestone. I felt it in my gut the moment I started talking to the teachers there that this was the right school for our kids.
Our Nala was a very shy and introverted little girl, partly also the reason I wanted her in school for social interaction and to develop her confidence. Her first teacher was Teacher Pao in Nursery 2 Heart at the age of 3.5 and everyday she came home I would see her blossom and grow as she told me about her classmates and activities as well as her Ate’s and teachers. Nala is now almost 8 years old, a Grade 2 student at VCIS (Victory Christian International School). I am proud to say she is a consistent Honor Student who is well-loved by her new classmates and teachers. She handles schoolwork and friendships with ease and joy. I believe Milestone had a big hand in setting the right foundations for Nala’s development.

Our second daughter, Suki is now in her second year at Milestone. I still remember that first week of school last year when she would burst into tears when it was time to go inside the classroom. There were even several times when I would already be home and have to come back because Suki was apparently inconsolable and needed Mommy. But thanks again to her Teachers’ (especially Teacher Dianne) and Ates’ help and patience, she eventually grew out of it. Today she loves school and has also surprised us with her own milestones. She loves homework and eagerly prepares for school each day and even goes to the waiting area without any hesitation or separation anxiety (and sometimes not even a good bye for Mommy – oh well). I just know that she will continue to grow by leaps and bounds.

Our third is finally a boy, well he’s only 5 months but we already know where he’ll be having his first school experience. Our family loves Milestone, not only for their quality education or great progressive curriculum, but for their Teachers and Staff that make sure our kids our secured, loved and love learning. We know that our kids are in good hands and will always have fond memories of the part of their childhood spent behind the walls of Milestone. – Mommy Kirt
